KORČULA is a tipical Dalmatian old town and port (4000 inhabitants), situated on the north-eastern tip of the island of Korčula. Medieval walls suround the old town rich with museums, treasuries, Gothic and Renaissance palaces, churches and chapels. Korčula is famous for its mild climate (3000 sunny hours per year), rich vegetation, beautiful site and arhitecture, famous for its stonemasons and ship-builders from the earliest times.

Korčula is one of the most interesting and most beautiful Adriatic islands where, according to the legend, the famous seafarer Marco Polo was born. Its rich folklore includes songs, dances and tales, but the old sword dance MOREŠKA is a real rarity. The wineyards of Korčula are famous for its vines: Grk, Pošip. Daily ferry boat, ship and motor coach lines connect Korčula to the coast.
